Hello,

Just about to order the last bit for a build im doing and its the SSD, so.. What would be the best 256GB i know its going to be alot at these sizes but im fed up with having games ect on crap hdd's and OS on my 60GB SSD.

So Many people on forums / reviews say the Crucial M4 and update the firmware for better speeds?

Anyway what would you do? is there anything else on the market ive missed?

Get it. SSD are a huge upgrade from HDD. Crucial is a great band too.

Crucial M4 or Intel 510 only. Anything with the Sandforce 2281 like Vertex 3, Force 3 etc are a crapshoot for reliability.

The Crucial has better performance than the Intel and it's cheaper too.

I just placed an order for the 256GB Crucial M4 about 2 hours ago. First SSD. Everything I was reading was saying that's the drive to get, so I went for it.

Damn I wish I could got the 256gb M4. SO much more usable storage wise. I think they are actually a little faster read/writes as well.
