ridiculous. And apple has released a few anti-Windows ads lately too...

Anyway, why are they using Silverlight? I thought it was just M$'s version of flash?

What does that have to do with this? Apple isn't choosing to use Silverlight. Netflix is. And the user has to download Silverlight first from Microsoft's website before they can use it. It's not installed into OS X by default.

What does it have to do with this? It's funny that Mac ads continue to "attack" Microsoft, while there are clearly many M$ applications on Macs already such as Office etc., and now this is just one more...

Similar situation to iTunes/Quicktime with Windows.

i have had silverlight on mine since the olympics, and i downloaded it because NBC used to broadcast some sporting events and NETFLIX is using it for their services.

the only thing that i said concerning an apple product was basically that it can be installed on one just like quicktime on windows it is up to the person/company that owns the rights to whatever service to decide what format to use not the maker of the operating system.

its called business strategy, windows makes up over 90% of the pc marketshare and in order for the ipod to do as well as it has done apple needed to get windows owners a way to manage their ipods, hence itunes for windows.
