crysis dx10

It doesn't work that way, -dx10 tells it to run in DX10 mode which isn't supported.

not sure you will be able to even maintain a playable framerate with that setup you got that game will eat your processor and video card for breakfast but you can fake it with the config hacks

There is almost NO difference at all if you compare DX9 to DX10 since Crysis, just like Farcry was bribed to look better on the new hardware.
Farcry users had better textures on AMD 64 PC's while x86 didn't.
Crysis users had better visuals on DX10 because they limited it by default on DX9.

As it's been said before, xp doesn't support dx10. There are plenty of mods that are xp compatible that will make it look almost as good if not better than "very high stock" in vista.

But really, is the coming soon rig a joke? Not trying to be rude this time, honestly, but why have 8gb of ddr2 (when pretty soon you would be able to buy ddr3 cheaper, if you can't already) on a 32bit OS? And can I ask the rationale behind a 5670 and a GT240? Just curious.

Am I the only one who thinks he makes these threads just so he can show people the videos he made? It seems like he always just asks a ridiculously obvious question about crysis, and then when somebody comments on his rig he fills a post with pointless videos.

I had hope in this thread until he threw out his pride and joy videos again.

XP doesn't support DX10... You can get fake Very High, but not like you'll be able to run it at those settings.
