Didn't Alienware have something like this?
No, that's a different monitor.
$6,500? Umm, No? The resolution isn't worthy, I can imagine the pixel density and pitch to be far from excellent since it's a DLP. I do like the idea of a curved screen though.
yup good idea but i wouldn't pay that much for a damn screen. yeah alienware has the same thing its actually the same manufactrer alienware just rebranded it.

And gave it a different stand, body, etc.

just splitting hairs at this point...

Anyway, they are very cool, but nowhere near affordable yet. I still like my 24" just fine, my peripheral is 95% filled up by that thing alone.

Everything I've read about the "proper" distance says that 3 feet is about the minimum for 22"-24" monitors. I have to admit that I used to sit about 2 feet away. But now that I have it about 3 feet away (I measured from my eyes to the panel), it really is better.

I dunno. I just wanted to go by what was recommended for ergnomics and health and stuff.

I usually start out about 3 feet away while gaming, but as soon as the action hits I tend to sneak up on the monitor a bit.

While casually browsing and stuff I am a good 4 feet away.

you can thank or blame NEC for coming out with the first. Their is about $8,000 which they claim it can be for gaming. I do know they have some of the best color accurate monitors if you are in high demand for gamut.

Whoa. This one is perfectly identical to the Ostendo monitor. The only difference that I can see is the badge. Seriously. I use the Ctrl-Tab Firefox extension, and I put the 2 side-by-side and switched back and forth repeatedly, so I know they are exactly the same monitor. So, one of these is most definitely a rebranded unit. The Alienware might be too, but perhaps they gave it a different shell/body.
