This is outright AWESOME!! Ever thought of submerging your PC in liquid to cool it, these guys have done just that and far cheeper than the Amari XPC that you might have read about earlier this year...

Hardcore Computer officially launched their full-immersion desktop system today. A far cry from the innovative but very expensive Amari XCP of this years Dream PC competition, the custom case is closer in dimensions to more conventional tower cases and also a lot more affordable. Every part of the self-contained system has been designed from the ground up by Hardcore Computer including the coolant. The Reactor promises to provide some incredible cooling power for all of the core components.

The company is aiming to have their entry level configurations a shade under $4,000 (£2,289 at the time of writing) and will be available internationally from the US. The first systems will be based on LGA775 motherboards featuring Nvidia’s Nforce 790i Ultra chipset, allowing for 3-way SLI.

In an interview with Custom PC, Chad Attlesey, CTO and co-founder of Hardcore Computer, commented on Core i7 Reactor systems being in the pipeline, “we'll be on par with the rest of the industry as far as availability goes. We definitely have our eye on the new offerings coming out from Intelâ€.

The Reactor will be available with some heavy overclocks pre-applied. Initially, end users will have the option of top of the range Core 2 Quad QX9770 processors clocked at 4.2GHz. Chad Attlesey told Custom PC that under load the CPU temperature is “in the 42°C to 45°C rangeâ€.

Chad went on to say that even greater cooling is in the pipeline. “That’s with the current configuration. We actually have some other things in the works where will be running significantly cooler than that. I can’t really talk too much about that yet.â€

Custom PC was also told that the system is easy for the end-user to upgrade at home. “Yes, actually you can open up this system fairly easilyâ€

Wow, based on minimum config, I'd say they are charging about $3000 for the case alone...

Oh and 45C load for liquid cooling? Looks like the oil is having a negative effect on the loop.

Holy S**t a QZ9770 @ 4.2Ghz at 42-45 under load!

That's super wicked!

Nice find!

i dunno, a guaranteed pre-clock of 4.2ghz stable quad is pretty impressive

i don't see alienware/voodoo/falconNW doing anything better for the price
Dear god, another one? Seriously, this is like the 20th repost this week!
I just want the case and set up. That thing is wicked.
OMG!! I have so got to get one of those so I can have a Quad above 4Ghz

The funny thing is people really fall for these things. Which is cool if ya got the money but what a waste at the same time.
