Has anyone made wall speakers? I'm thinking of getting two 5x5 foot 1/8th inch stainless steel sheet metal and attaching some very strong speaker magnets to it in the center. Would this work alright? I got the idea from my physics teacher who did it in class in a smaller scale and I thought it would be cool to have in my room.

I did a bit of reaserch and only could find stuff like [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Impact-Stick-Speaker-SoundPad/dp/B0001HKVKQ"]this[/ame]. Not sure if something like that would be loud enough.

Why would you want to? I can't imagine them sounding or looking very good, and a 5x5 foot sheet of stainless would be pretty damn heavy.

I know Klipsch makes architectural speakers (the correct name for in-wall speakers I believe), and I think Definitive Technology makes some as well, albeit they're both pretty expensive.
