Hi guys, I decided to make myself a custom waterblock for my VGA with one friend's CNC, since there are no available waterblocks for the MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti HAWK. The PCB is way different from the standard GTX 560.
I have made a design based on the EK waterblocks, I will attack some images for you to see.
Here's my first idea about it, and a comparison with the standard MSI GTX 560 Ti:

I'm thinking about doing it either in Cooper or Nickel (all depends on costs), and an acrylic cover with screws. My main concern is about the measures and thickness of the piece, specially in the areas where the heat is going to be transferred to the inner cavity where the water flows (there is an image where you can see the measures and this matter).
Also I don't know if everything will work just fine, what about the water pressure, and I don't know if there is something else to take in account when doing this.
If you guys could please give me some advice, I'll really appreciate it.

though swiftech mcw80 block will do nicely.
im forced to use these on my non ref 470s.
i'd rather an full cover block so i dont have to use a single fan in my pc case but noise is minimal so i will suffer it and be happy my 470s arent cooking my ankles with exhausted heat.

Will these other block options work with a MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Hawk?

I was told that since the card doesn't follow the reference design, I won't be able to find a water block for it.

Is there any tweaking involved when getting one of these suggested blocks?

Water-cooling seems like my only option now to prevent my cards from overheating.

Just wondering how the temps are? Did you design this in GibsCam? I have access to horizontal and verticle mills and billet materials...... would love to get two of these cooling my cards!

Why on a 560ti? It's going to be outdated here in like a year or two with Nvidia about to come out with Kepler.... And they already have the 448core 560ti...hmm....? is it worth it? 580 I might say yea...but I dunno...

I am interested in the same thing as the OP ... the reason being ... I already have the card ... If I can cool it better and get a better OC ... it saves me buying a whole new card ...

How much will the weight be? Seems pretty thick. The ek ones for the 570 is about 1kg. Also around the processor there is a reinforcements on the ek blocks to prevent the pcb from bending when installing the block. Could be a good idea to add one of those too

oh, and normal copper won't work. u need copper especially for machining. Making threads in normal copper is a pita. The O-ring might be hard to get a good seal but if u don't get it good u can always glue the parts together
