I'm looking to change my current psu, an Antec VP500P. In the country i live, the only reasonable choices that fit my budget are:

Corsair CX550m for $89 U$S

Xfx Xtr 650 for $112 U$S

I know of the two the xtr is better from what i have read, but my question is: Is it worth it for my sig rig?

Ryzen 1600 @ 3.7GHZ
Aorus RX580 8gb
16gb DDR4 3000Mhz Lpx Corsair
1 WD blue 1tb
Asus Strix B350-F

PD: There are other psus available, but they jump to more than 160 U$S, and for me it's not worth it.

PD: My case is a Corsair 400c, so the XTR will fit, but it will be tight.

Thanks for the help!

I would spend the extra money for XFX PSU.
Based on PSU calculators you would hit ~ 375-400W under load which is fine for both CPUs but if you OC the GPU you are going to go higher than that. With 650W PSU you will have the PSU operating at its peak efficiency and the fan will stay at relatively low speed.

The XTR is the better of the two so if you can spend the extra you should

Yeah, you are both right and i might also oc the gpu at some point. I'll go for the xtr then, also it's not as if it is that much expensive. A better investment.

Thanks for the help!
