well if you know how BMI works it is not that correct. My friend is just a solid build, he is like 6'3'' and 240 pounds but he doesnt have fat its all muscle, and it says he is obese. They don't take into account a lot of things and espcially for a kid, they don't go down to that age.
If wii fit told me i was FAT! i wouldn't care. I'd actually laugh.
Saying that though, at that age and girls are alot more sensitive about their weight
but it's one of those things, games + news always bad news.
HAHA .. that is a comical article. Some people are so sensitive to certain words, would those people rather the wii call them "overweight or obese" ? People need to learn not to be so offended by the truth especially if it is not meant in a malicous way. What does the father mean when he said "she weighs only six stone" I guessing 60 lbs ?
hiding the fact from your kids that they need to watch their weight is damaging. Although when talking about overall HEALTH your BMI is much more telling than weight.
Everyone should buy one of those body fat scales that measures your fat percentage its not super accurate but it gives a more solid picture of fat on the body. This article reminds me of the kids that sued Mcdonalds for making them fat because they ate their food.
