Coin Information
DarkCoin aims to be the first privacy-centric cryptographic currency with fully encrypted transactions and anonymous block transactions. These features are a work on progress and will be released in stages in the near future.

DarkCoin uses a new chained hashing algorithm approach, with many new scientific hashing algorithms for the proof-of-work. This is so that the processing distrubution is fair and coins will be destributed in much the same way Bitcoins were originally. ASICs will be much more difficult to make for these algorithms and will take years.

What is the difference between Darkcoin and Zerocoin? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5241291#msg5241291

How does DarkSend anonymize transactions?:

As of version 3 beta, DarkSend is almost completely anonymous.

Can't believe I missed this

Seems innovative , rather than another multiple round hash (i.e. myriadcoin , Qubit, FairQuark , Securecoin , Frozen). Particle never seemed to take off.

I'm not sure how this is different than Stablecoin in terms of mixing.

Heavycoin failed to stop a GPU onslaught we shall see how this holds up seeing how it is not claimed to prevent GPU mining (in fact there's a listing of AMD GPUs for it).

edit: It seems it had a fork yesterday however.

Hard Fork Ahead, v9.1.0! Dark Gravity Wave v2 goes into effect on block 45000 (in more than a week).

This includes various improvements to DGW including support for 32bit and more timewarp exploit protection. We tested over the last couple of days and it's passed all of the tests.

Here's the commit if you're interested:

https://github.com/evan82/darkcoin/commit/857e34d28d84a6c7d0910eb800397b5382e520f4

To update, just download one of these:

Source: http://www.github.com/evan82/darkcoin
Windows QT: http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/darkcoin-qt.exe
Ubuntu QT: http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/darkcoin-qt
Ubuntu Daemon: http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/darkcoind

This time everyone should have plenty of time to update and I'll be emailing and messaging all pool operators, exchanges, etc.

Thanks!
Looks like 32bit support is finally coming in the next update!

I started this. CPU is working just fine, but does this support Nvidia GPU?
I remember reading people getting some pretty good hashrates on their Nvidia cards, specifically someone using a 460 GTX to mine.
Download the latest version of sghminer and try it out;

i been having a run at this but it just doesn't feel right. after a long session hours and hours. my speeds were expected with 270x's, but it just seems weird i had so much accepted in the miner window, yet in my stats it reflects none and very little on my gpu's but my screen was constantly loaded with yay's

wait a minute, i see asia1 in my mining pool, lol i wonder...
