There is a data recovery operating system or software that I used to use but I have since forgotten the name. I am hoping someone here knows what I am talking about.

It iincludes a set of tools designed to recover hard drives by reading it sector by sector and pulling off files. I think the name of the software or operatings ystem was _____xp.

Any ideas?

I think the one you are referring to is called 'Dart XP' ..there are about 1000 of these similar programs though..

*I help with data recovery as well..but use special software, manufactured by the techs over at DCS Inc. for document recovery off of copier HDD's..
