DDR2/Graphics card Q

302 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  br3nd064
It looks like all the good cards are running ddr3 memory but my cpu uses ddr2
I won't have a problem using a card with ddr3 memory on it like the Radeon HD 4850 will I?

the video card is a seperate system...all you need to worry about is that the motherboard has the right connector...ie, AGP, PCI-express 1, 2...etc

The memory on your videocard communicates with the GPU.

The memory on your mobo communicaties with the CPU.

2 different things
