ddr2 pc8500 ocz Fatality edition, 'asking for review'

ok i just purchased some pc8500 fatality series ram , i had the ocz reaper before and i just couldnt get it to run stable at 1066, i got these runing stable at 1066 with my quad core oc'd at 4.0ghz

anyone got any reviews on these things. the only downside i seen was i dont think these are overclockable at all they come stock at 6-7-7 @ 2.0 and i know for overclockers you like to look for ram around 1.8v

if anyone else has this ram oc'd let me know what cas timings and voltage you got up to i would like to try and push this stuff around 1100 mhz or 1200mhz if possible

thanks - chris

that's gotta be the worst RAM available...6-7-7 timings? @2v? jeez

you should've bought some good 1066 MHz RAM with 5-5-5 timings, probably the same price too
****, i got 14 days to return it but i tried the reaper and the crucial ram with the fans but it just wouldnt run at 1066 for some reason but htis fatality runs perfectly
not sure why
its pretty rediculous that i have some corsair xms2 ram thats ddr400 that i can overclock to 1066mhz and it runs fine and pulls the same exact numbers on everest as this pc8500 fatality series which i cant even get to overclock to 1100mhz

if i wanted to try and push this pc8500 up to 1200 mhz would i need to mess with my divider at all, right now its at 9x i wonder if i lower it if i could achieve the 1200mhz i want to run my ram at and still run 4ghz brb gunna reboot 50 more times to try and get this **** to overclock ...otherwise this ****y ass ram is goin rigth back to the store and ill stick with my ddr400 that clocks to 1066 no problem

Getting 1200mhz from a 2x2GB is very hard. On the other hand, getting 1066mhz from a 800mhz kit is usually easy since they use the same chips as the 1066mhz kits in most cases (quality sets).

If you want a nice set of DDR2 2x2GB, look into the G-Skill PI 8800's (1100mhz stock).

If you want 1200mhz ram then buy a kit rated for it. Most 800/1066mhz kits top out at around 1100, maybe a tad higher if your lucky.
