Since I have replaced my MB with the one in my Sig I have been unable to downclock my RAM, is this normal?

What I have, 2 x 2 GB of OCZ DDR2 1066 Reaper RAM.
What i'm trying to do, run the RAM 1:1 with my FSB which is at 450.
What I get, lots of errors in memtest86, and almost instant failure in prime95.

If I set the RAM to auto in the BIOS, it runs at 540MHz or DDR1080 and I have a solid OC passing 6 hours of prime, but if I run it at 1:1 with the FSB my system freaks out with crashes and BSOD's.

I didn't have this problem with my old motherboard, using the same RAM and CPU, and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or If anyone knows why my RAM will work at higher speeds but not lower.

Set
AI Overclock Tuner to Manual
DRAM frequency= 900MHz (for 450MHz FSB)..
AI Transaction Booster = Manual
Performance Level = 10

Is DRAM timing or DRAM Voltage set to AUTO?

At this moment yes. I get these errors with the DRAM timing and Voltage set to auto.

Set Performance Level manually to 10. And Keep FSB strap to Auto.

Jobs a good one thanks for the help, now running stable at 1:1, I just need to google what the AI transaction booster actually does

It allowes you to set Performance Level of RAM..

Now the lower value of Performance Level means faster RAM (better memory bandwidth) but it also effects stability as higher value usually means better stability..

CHEERS..

are your volts going to the ram low? sometimes turning down your volts too much can cause this
