The board i want is DDR2 667 standard.. but would it matter if i matched it with ram DDR2 1066 PC2 8500.. should i match the standard? or will i get any more performance with faster RAM on that standard?
Personally, even if the MoBo says it's only compatible with DDR2 667, I'd put DDR2 800 max, above that it will pretty much be a waste of money because most if not all DDR2 800 can hit 900mhz to 1000mhz, so there's no need for 1066mhz RAM.
Timings are not critical for DDR2, it's bandwidth that drives DDR2.
