OK, since my OCZ Platinum DDR3 kit has issues, I'm going to return it and buy a new kit instead. Need some advice however...
1. Replace with the same part. ($197.64)

Wouldn't the G.Skill PI Black kit run better than the mushkin blackline one? 1.5v on the G.Skill vs 1.65v on the mushkin blackline gives more OC headroom.

Update: Was looking at amazon.com's return policy and it's extremely lenient, so I decided to exchange the defective ram for an exact replacement. If i have no luck with a second kit then i'll probably pick up some cheaper + slower ram.

The Mushkin Blacklines are pretty good.

If you are into low timings and RAM overclocking, the Mushkin Redlines Cas6 gets my vote.
