Thats cheaper and better then my Q6600 i bought a month ago.

I'd still say the Q6600 is better. It has more cache 8mb vs 6mb and a higher multi 9 vs 8.

It's still a good deal though.

This deal has been going on for at least a month.

Every benchmark I've seen says the Q9400 is about equivalent to a Q6600 at stock clocks, but has the advantage of running cooler since it's a 45nm part. Haven't seen too many O/C reports on the Q9400 though.

I may yet get one of these for my wife. She needs a new system soon.
