While overall I'm super happy with my rig, I can't decide what I should do.

So I'll add a poll. Any additional thoughts are appreciated.

I have $300 extra, and debating on:

1.) Picking up a set of the Gskill PI 1200's

2.) Wait for Fermi's results.

3.) Sapphire Vapor-X 5870

4.) Sell Motherboard, Chip, and Ram, and Pick up, Rampage Gene/930/6gb Ram.

5.) Make use of this un-opened waterblock and finish the kit...

6.) Buy Beer/Other...?

The effects of alcohol will make your computer seem like it has been upgraded, I'd go with that route myself - although I quit AA for recess...

Wait for fermi to come out and see what it can do. Your rig is pretty beast as is.

sell the 285 right now to get the most profit before fermi is released and then buy 5850 or 5870, and you wont be out that much after buying 5870 (especially if you wait till fermi is released and get it cheaper or find an open box) and then go with number 4!

I say sell, but get a 920. They're slightly cheaper and will overclock to more or less the same point.

I'd say either WC gear or wait to decide between Fermi / 5870; your guts are still plenty powerful for anything you'd throw at it.

Also beer should be amended to all options

I say, since you are super happy now, there is no need to go super super mega happy.
Save the money for future use.

Upgrading from your current platform to i7 will not yield much improvement as the Q9650 is a beast of a chip. However, the i7 is what Intel will be building on from now and like fish said, Intel new's 6 and 8 core CPU's will be coming out. So in that sense you would be more future proof.

But other than that, I would save the money for later.
