I've decided to make the switch to a C2D rig within the next month. I need a few suggestions though.

I'd like to go with a E6400 or the E6600, but im a little mixed on the mobo and memory. I've heard good things about the P5B deluxe.

I'd like to keep the RAM under $250.

I'll be keeping my power supply, hdd, case, sound card and possibly the video card.

Throw out some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I have had excellent success with the P5B-D WiFi (0711 BIOS) and Patriot Extreme RAM. The RAM cost $215.00 from the Egg (before they shot up to $249 - bastiches )

Dark side, eh? I heard they have cookies...

Micron D9s for under $250? Maybe in 1GB flavor but we highly recommend the G.Skill DDR2 800 HZ stuff because most likely you'll get D9s.

Here's another great alternative to the G.Skill: http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-44410-8...dfd393392e13c3

I used to like Cosair but since that they no longer have D9s in their C4 DDR2 800s, I decided to check out other brands, so those will be the two choices IMO.

Thanks for the help guys. If everything works out ill be ordering by the end of the month.

I thinking this is going to be the ideal setup:

-E6600
-ASUS P5B Deluxe
-Crucial DDR2 667 (Micron D9s)

I'll stick with everything else in my current rig and wait on a video card until DX10.
