It's close to the eject button. It's tiny and easily overlooked if one is not looking for it.

Yeah, he's got a slot loading tray. :\ I don't know how to get the disc out of those.

I'm confused. Does the laptop have a casette that ejects on which you mount the disc, or is it a slot where you slide the disk in, and an internal mechanism grabs the disc? edit--nvm, I understand it's the latter now

I hate to ask, but have you tried pressing the eject button on the keyboard? I only ask because keyboards generally function outside of windows, even some of the "advanced" functions on them. I'd feel bad if I didn't ask this and assumed.
