I have a laptop hard drive that has important files on it, that she needs to get off, so I need a new laptop to buy where I can hook it up, and get the files off of it. She's getting a new laptop regardless, but she still needs to get those files off of, and hooking it up to a new laptop once we get it, is the only way I can think to do it.

I have an IBM T23.. Its got a screw.. (Easy enough but not all have switches)
