Hey if money isn't that much of a problem or your financing it anyway, id go for the U2711 it has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 which looks way better, like you dont even know. Going from a 1920x1080 to 2560x1600 was mind blowing, i will NEVER go back. now imagine going from your pos 17" to a 27" 2560x1440, not to mention all the add screen space.

If money isn't a problem i would highly recommend the U2711

i was very indecisive about buying the U3011 and i have no regrets its so big and clear, i just have one word for it "SEXED"

I noticed the AG coat a little on the U2311H, but it didn't bother me. I think I'll manage.

hahah, i just posted this in the eyefinity club thread... by far, i have friends with u2711 and smaller, the 27" is totally the best because of the dot pitch... totally worth the money... i belive no other monitor comes close.

here is my eyefinity setup... 3 x u2711 + SAPPHIRE 100290SR Radeon HD 5870 eyefinity edition

my drivers all loaded screen shot, all 3 with DP conencted...

and here is a sample gameplay on my monitors...

You most be playing at med to low settings to play all thats with one 5870

awww, i can't find my camera! i will take a pic of the case soon... but yes, i just have them all connected to 1 single card and i get like 60 fps average in eyefinity and 91 fps average when playing with single monitor. i have been rebuilding my water cooling lines and stuff, so still moving things around. might water cool the 5870 or may be change it out... 6970 was a bust, but the 6990 sounds promissing?
