I have an i7 950 OC'd to 4.2 ghz at 1.3 volts. I usually leave my computer on overnight and over the past 2 weeks I gotten on my computer 2 times in the morning where the desktop is frozen and i can move the mouse for a little bit and then it eventually freezes too. I have to turn off the computer to fix it.

I have run prime 95 for 9 hours + and Intel burn test 20 times on max, so i thought my OC was safe. Could this be my overclock or possibly my hardrive?

thanks!

runs fine when i'm using it, and runs fine with prime 95 and other stress tests but sometimes when i leave it overnight and come to my computer in the morning (happened 2 times in 2 weeks) it is frozen on the desktop

What is "lower power states"? I'm very new to overclocking so I'm sure I still have it enabled but i didn't see anything like it in the BIOS.

Maybe one of these settings has something to do with it:
Digi PWR Mode: T-balanced
PWM volt control: auto
Loadline Calibration: auto
CPU Voltage OCP: Enabled
CPU PWM Frequency: Auto
