Alright well, I decide pretty much now that I'm going to do a Desktop case for my desk. There are a bunch of cases but none that acutally fit EXactly what I want except for a cheap, dull looking one

And I want to add this for temp and fan controller as the bottom 2 5.25 drives

Not the most attractive thing on the market but it's large enough to fit my Gigabyte G-Power HSF and the rest of my components comfortably

So, what I am going to do is take this not so nice looking Black Matte case and liven it up a bit, hopefully so it doesn't look utter crap (which it'll be a quite expensive utter piece of crap if it ends up that way). I'm going to put on Brushed Aluminum Vinyls that leave a small outline of black around the edges of vinyl to give it a silver with black outline.

I could do various types of striping, maybe do the sides

But here's a small Prototype of what it'll look like, hopefully when I'm done. The top will have the same type of outlining done, my perspective is wrong so you can't see what the top would look like but you getthe idea

Cost for my stuff is

Case - $60
Vinyl - $21 have to getthe 24in. x 10Ft cause i need the width to cover the whole box)
Aerocool CoolWatch $90 - might go with a separate card reader and LCD to cut cost but this one just looks cool
Case Fans - $15

Should start purchasing tomorrow, i need to get some sleep, and I'll do a build log within this thread in case people are curious

I'd leave it black with red and silver accents... but that's just my style. I'm sure it'll look great once it's done. Mock-ups never live up to the glory of the real thing. I'll be watching this!

it might be pretty neat to put some small windows on the sides of the case just above the ventholes, and have some led fans inside the case, that would look pretty neat...

hat AeroCool you can change the LED to either Blue Red or Putple.

I'll go the window route only if it looks like crap in the end and I actually did think about the windows but I might cut holes in the sides to fit my 120mm 78CFM fans for better airflow (and so they dont just sit here), and hook those up to the fan controller so I can turn them down if I have to.

Just trying to get my bookmarks now to place my order

Ok just ordered everything except for the LCD/Fan/Multi-function display becasue nothing out right now suits my fancy and I couldn't get myself to spend another $90 on a display.

I was thinking about getting a standard multi-function (USB, FireWire, Headphone/Mic) drive and going with a single LCD, but the only one that actually has purpose is the ABIT uGuru (with CMOS reset button) but apparently they work better on ABIT systems (hmmm...wonder why) and the LCD on it isn't up to par like the others.

So if you all know of any good LCD panels what can display 3 TEMPS AT ONCE let me know cause I want one like that and havent found any

I've pretty much looked at every possible 5.25" Temp/Controller slot...and the best one's I think are the Sunbeam and the Aerocool I originally posted...

The Sunbeam which is a third of the price seems more economical than the AeroCool, though the AeroCool would look pretty sweet. I would be running about 4 case fans (1 on each side, 2 in rear), I just want to have the Temps on the ouside so I dont have an extra program runnig and all I have to do it look at the LCD but there's only one LCD I've seen do that and it's inegrated into a case

If I could find something like this I'd be set

Oh and it needs to be black
