Does anyone know where i can get good desktop backgrounds that are a huge high resolution so they are mega mega mega HD, far higher than 1080p?

Not sure why you want mega mega mega HD when your monitor's only 1080p. But they do have 1600p resolution wallpapers.

i've been surfing wallbase.net recently. they've got a customizable resolution search up to 2560x1600. not suuuuuper high res, but the variety is awesome

you can just type the resolution you want into google images too

I use this accross my two 22" monitors and its very "crisp",maybe you can crop it to fit
