I only ever played a demo of the original and it was strange, but for some reason I never got into it. Playing the HD version, it took a bit for me to get past the obviousness of it being an older game with a new skin, but once past that, I find this game VERY intense! I tried to play it on hard, but often found myself in areas that took forever to beat, one spot I never could... had to restart in normal mode!

Definitely worth my $20 thus far... can't wait to get in on some co-op action!

I'll be honest; in the first few minutes of it I played (around 20), it scared/startled me way too often. Monsters spawn suddenly in front of you, and one time one of the bigger monsters was chasing me, I barely made it back down the elevator thinking, "Okay, now I'll just take a breather and check my ammo."

Wrong! The bugger took the elevator too and proceed to chase me out of the building!

Well just like the original this game rules!!!

i had the first one as a bundle to my video card which was at that time a radeon 7000pro ... hehe good times.

yeah I've been playing it since it came out. such a good rendition of the original. and total worth 20 bucks. best 20 bucks i spend on gaming this year imho

I just did a search to see if anyone was talking about it...

The original is a classic favorite of mine, and took up lots of my time...

Should I go for it???

As a SS fan, I should like it right??
