no, there is industrial grade diamond(used in saws and drills) that has the same properties as jewlery grade diamond. wouldnt look as sparkly but alot cheaper, about 15$ for a 2mm plate to fit over a socket 939

and it has 3.2X the heat conductive properties as Cu, and electricity cannot pass through carbon rods, so not its not a conductor, it is the best insulator
