The difference is the placement of the connectors. On the WD3000BLFS, the connector is on a 2.5in hd somewhere in the middle. On the WD3000HLFS, the connector is placed like a normal 3.5in hard drive. Some people complained that they didnt fit in some hot swap external port like this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153066

The HLFS are the newest generation and are supposed to be quieter and cooler than the GLFS. I believe the BLFS is a 2.5" drive, while the other two are 3.5" drives.

Those numbers refer to Seek Time. The lower the number the better.

WD3000HLFS

Has a Higher letter in it.

usually means Newest Model / Revision.

I would grab that one honestly. Lower Seek times and Latencies = Better performance.
