Difference between UD3L and DS3L

1108 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  thenutty1
These two boards have the same specs:

DDR2 1366+/1066/800/667
1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16
4 x PCI Express 2.0 x1
2 x PCI
ICH10 (no RAID support)
ALC888 sound

Does anybody know what's the difference? I guess it is in the UD vs DS...

The UD3L is newer and it uses better capacitors. The heatsink over the mosfets on the UD3L version is also different. The P43 seems to be a partly crippled version of the P45. Except that I think the rest is mostly the same basically. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Only difference is better capacitors and the different heatsink like said above.
UD is the Ultra Durable line. In addition to the better capacitors and heatsinks, the UD series has 2 oz. of copper in the motherboard instead of the typical 1 oz. This gives the whole motherboard better cooling properties.
