Okay, so voyeurmods.com sent me 3/8" tubing for the holidays, and they're sending me out the 1/2" that I was supposed to order today. Anyway, I've been getting awful temps on both my GPU and CPU, with load on the GPU going into the 54C range, and CPU into the low 40's, with a room temp of 22-23C. I'm interested to see how the increase in tube size is going to affect temperature and flow rate, if at all. I'll report here when I get everything leaktesting and hooked up.

I thought the systems that have the Swiftech Storm are more geared towards pressure rather then flow because of the jets. How much of an OC are you running on your GPU & CPU?

A high overclock on both, pretty much to the max. 1.59 vcore and stock on the GPU. Indeed Snerp you are correct in saying that the STORM is geared towards pressure instead of flow, but at some point you still need a lot of flow to get it through the jets.

Well, my tube arrived today via USPS Priority, so tomorrow I'll be fitting and cutting tube, and see what happens. I requested the tube that's got UV Blue pigment in the tube, so I don't need to use any dye or additives. I'll throw some temps by your way sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Well the D5 rocks so it will take advantage of the larger diameter tubing. The volume of water flowing through your loop will definately impact your temps in a good way. Look for to seeing the results.

Yup, I'm going to drain my system tonight and hopefully clean out my Storm. Tomorrow at 6AM I'm going to cut and fit tube, then a neighbor's grabbing me more distilled water and I'll fill/bleed around 930, when he gets home. I'm going ATV riding around 10, so that's why I'm getting up so early.

Wow, is all I can say. I dropped 10C in both GPU and CPU temps by going to 1/2. Idle is 29 on both CPU and GPU with a room temp of 21C.

Thats interesting. You would think that they would be closer. Because with the larger tube there is more water, but it is moving slower than the small tube...
