dirt2 lag in the menu/caravan thing.

Right sorry if this has been covered but has anybody else experienced servere lag in the caravan thing where you choose your races and weather you want multiplayer or world tour etc?

The game runs absolutly perfect on all high 1440x900 2x aa, but in this menu in the caravan it must be running at about 10fps lol. Even typing letters takes forever.

well you do have a pretty outdated video card for this game

I had the same problem. Try messing around with the AA settings, I was just playing around with those and it just went away all if the sudden.

My friend with a 4850 complained of the same thing...pretty sure it's ati cards only.

That exact same issue happened to me, took me the longest time to figure out, turned out my PC was/is unstable, reset everything to stock and try again, fixed it for me, but i want to get back at 3.6, im actually stress testing on my computer right now to see if it is stable (posted from a different PC)

Do you have the 9.11 driver installed? Or the hotfix?

It will do perfectly fine in Dirt 2 at 1440x900 res.

I have a HD 4870 and im having the same problem. It only happens inside the caravan thing(In the menu).
During races it runs PERFECT.

Woo thought i was the only one with the problem!

Thanks guys ill get updating to 9.11 then and hope it cures my problem. Currently running 9.10.

I had the same problem at first, but the hotfix driver fixed the problem.

Greetings and Salutations....
i too suffer the lag,i get it at the beginning"boy its slow",then game perfect,then sloooooooooooooooooooooooow in caravan...running 9.11 and a fresh updated win7..
yep it was from steam last night....
anyone know a workaround..ive only just built this and a game lags it out ????????

The UK release date was the 4th as sonicmat said above ;D

I contacted Steam support about this, they said there is currently a bug causing this but it should show up by December 8th.
