I cleared CMOS on Intel and upon loadingthe defaults it gave error" disk booy up failure insert system disk and press enter"<br />
What is going on?<br />

You may have to "select" the hard drive where your OS is as the main hard drive and then set it as the boot drive as well. <br />
<br />
In my RAID that's what I had to do everytime I updated the BIOS. If that doesn't work, your HDD may be damaged.

Did that. Also the hard drive is new. Does it make a difference if it is plugged in with the sata cable or no?
