Can't figure out what the hell is wrong with my stuff.

Keep getting the DISK BOOT FAILURE, please insert system disk etc...
It started doing this on a samsung 400gb drive so I replaced it with a WD. Still the same problem. I've reformatted many times, which will work at first but when I have to restart my computer, I get the error.
Here's some observations I've made:

BIOS recognizes my drives
At one point it used to work if I left the Windows CD in the drive but when removed, I would get the error (at startup)
I've installed this Windows (7 x64) on 4 different computers none with this problem.

Any help?? My stuff used to work for a long time when I first got it.

Asus Crosshair
Brisbane 2.0
Removed my OC
Mushkin 2GB also with some generic 2GB
WD Cavier

That does remind me.. I have this old 40GB Maxtor connected to the IDE which is probably screwing it up. I unplugged it and It's just going straight to the Windows setup off the disk... So maybe problem solved? I'll see...

Edit: That drive I had was messing it up. Thanks!
