In the bios on my sisters computer (yes you may have read my other forum), we are getting this same error message every time we boot up. I have it set so that when the computer boots up it'll read Windows XP off of the harddrive, but I keep getting this error. I have a feeling something is wrong with the harddrive, and this is why the computer won't boot at all.

I was wondering what this error exactly means and how I can fix it?

try running a check disk on the disk. The boot sector might have a bad sector and cannot read the boot sector.

Boot of a windows xp disk or win98 floppy and run check disk> usually this works.

it doesn't matter anymore, she ordered a new harddrive and is getting the data off the old one, also she is getting a new Windows XP so that should work . . . but she had to pay for some stuff she may not have had to pay for . . . lol
