I've been having weird errors with my computer in the past month, and I can't seem to find the reason behind it..

These are the main stars, but i've also had some PNRPSvc and Service Control Manager (IDs 102, 7001, 7023) that i've been able to get rid of with some googling.
These 2 errors though, turn my screen black for 1-2 seconds, and then everything goes back to normal, and i get the pop-up message in the task bar about the display driver stopping and recovering.
the weird thing is- everyone who posted these errors online reported it happening on specific apps (games or the like), while mine are few and far in between, and ALWAYS when the PC is just idling (either when i'm away and i find out about it in the event log, or when i'm just browsing the web), so i'm inclined to say it's not anything related to the GPU/PSU getting too hot/loaded, as some people have mentioned this to be.

I did experience a lot of those when i first installed the 266.58 drivers, then reverted to the older ones, then back to 266.58 a month or so ago, and up until now no errors..

i also reverted any component OCing back to stock about 2 weeks ago, just in case it is from ram oc'ing or the like, so that shouldn't be it either. temps are always low in both stock and OC (running evga precision and amd overdrive constantly - gpu 30-60, cpu 20-28 on all cores).

ideas anyone?

AMD cpu's have a very finicky memory controller. That crazy timing RAM is your issue. Try to set them to more standard timings and your issues will go away.

Actually, i just upgraded my rig (1100t, crosshair v), and since doing that (and reinstalling win7+using a driver app- drivervwhiz) haven't had any errors. Still running the same timings.
It seems, that 4101 in windows7 and vista is caused by power supply problem. Workaround:
Set the card from adaptive power (power saving) off to maximum performance. Shut down the computer.
While power off, disconnect your cable from the video card to the monitor. Start the computer and connect the cable
after you have logged to windows.

This works with latest drivers. Even with aero enabled. BF3 and flash videos on firefox running - everything is smooth, no problems anymore.
This whould be easy to fix, nvidia. I am looking forward an QUICK fix for the power usage on startup now that we know the reason.

Please try and post your trial here. I do accept a new laptop for award

umm, what??

first of all, i already resolved this issue.
second of all, i doubt it has anything to do with power, the errors would happen even when the gpu was idling at desktop etc.
