Hello everybody!

I currently am using a Steelseries QCK+ XXL mousepad, but I would like to get one that fits my whole desk, I've been looking around and I found the Glorious 3XL, one from Amazon, one that ships from Poland and another one from China (shipping costs are insanely high making the Glorious the best choice)

So I'm looking to make my own mousepad, I've been looking around for the base, I know I can use corch but I want that cloth pad feeling, I thought about getting a Yoga like mat that is 4mm tall, just like my current mousepad, then find cloth and somehow put it all together

I would appreciate a lot if you guys had any ideas of what materials I could get, for the base, the cloth, the glue? to join the base with the cloth - I'm looking for high quality cloth that would have the same or less resistance than the QCK

Any ideas, suggestions and link are greatly appreciated!
Have a great end of the weekend :)

EDIT 1: I just read that people use neoprene and I've never touched or worked with neoprene

  • Q_1: What could I use the neoprene as? The base right?

(I'll update this questions as people help me out with answers so there's no spam down in the comments)

Neoprene base is a pretty standard base. It's easy to cut with an x-acto or utility knife. Sourcing it shouldn't be an issue (you might even scavenge it from another cheap mouse pad.

Cloth is subjective - you may want to shop around and see if you find the cloth you like somewhere. Attaching the cloth is easy - 3m super 77 in a spray can.

Ask this AliExpress seller if they make a custom size of your needs. They made me a 50x50 cm, black, stitched edges for $16 inc. shipping.

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! I will try to look out for some neoprene and I found some really smooth cloth, is the 3M Super 77 good to attack both of them? I haven't tried it at all

Hey, thanks for your quick reply! I'm looking for a 1400x600 type of mousepad, I was going to get one from the website I mentioned above but the shipping was just super expensive :( - I've tried to look for a way to contact the seller but I don't see any button to message him or email, could you help me with that? - Your setup looks great ^_^

You have to log in first, then hover your mouse above the store name on the top left, and it will have an option that says contact now.
