I have an asus p5b deluxe wifi on the way and an e6600. I would like to overclock it to at least 3.0ghz. I am doing a lot of reading and i dont know if i understand this right but the fsb in the bios for this chip will be 266 and its x9 to equal the stock 2.4 ghz. So i would need to up my fsb to 333 to get my chip to 3.0 right? Now i think my ram will be a problem, it is 2 x 1 gb of kingston pc4300 533mhz value ram. So the bus on that is 266 right? will this kind of ram raise up to 333 on this motherboard for the 1:1 ratio or what settings do i need, im not sure about the dividers and voltage and timings
. I dont wanna hurt my new processor
.I know it would be better to have ddr2 667 or 800 but i cant afford that for awhile, and would like to overclock some for now. thanks.
