I was trying to mount a 50mm fan that I sawed off of a Pentium III heatsink onto my NB when it got a bit wobly (I was a bit ruff I think
). Like the thermal paste unstuck. Do I need to reseat it?

That's good because it doesn't look easy to take off or it doesn't even look designed to be taken off at all..

You shouldn´t need to reseat it , just check the pins are securing that HS down properly.

Wow.

The push pins are in but it is not on tight. It's effecting my cpu temps A LOT aswell (used to be 60 C max @ 4.2GHZ now its 68 C max and higher idle temps too!) I don't know how to seat the heatsink any better because you can't tighten the HS by the looks of it??? HELP!
