This is my sig rig.
RAM in any of the C or D channel slots is reported as "abnormal" by the BIOS and is not reported as part of the available memory. I can swap out the sticks in there and get the same thing, and it happens in slot 1 and 2 for both channel.
RAM in A2 or B2 slots causes the system not to post. And any configurations of sticks that does not include a stick in A1 or B2 causes the system to not power up correctly--it shuts down a fraction of a second after receiving power.
Once upon a time I would RMA the board without a thought, but that was before memory controllers got moved onto the CPU. So which one is bad here?
