I noticed my Video card temp drops 2C if I take a PCI slot cover off. I have 2 rear 108cfm sunons sucking alot of air. but since I have a closed case with a side window they are only sucking it from the one and only air intake in the front of the case. So there are no vents around my GPU for the sunons to suck fresh air in.

So im lookin for something a little more stylish than just taking off a pci slot cover or two. I tried some google searching but cant find anything. Is this a little mod im going to have to do on my own?

If anyone has seen something like this please link me! thanks

this is my case. back top are obviosly the 108cfm exhaust sunons and the little metal bump out at the bottem has a 90cfm intake fan fan in front of the HD cage with the pump in it. The flow of air has to be missing the card and going strait up to the sunions and the rad..
No not really, I'm looking for just a grill to put back there. The sunons are sucking many times the air a slot fan can push, so all i need is a grill of some kind. My case almost has a negative air pressure because of the powerfull exhuast. When I close the side pannel it sucks closed when the PC is running.

Or Use a rotary tool to cut some grills or a drill to make some holes. I think that would work well * gets out his dremel and starts making slits in his cover thingamabobs*

Yeah i only need a PCI slot cover to be vented so the strong suction pulls cool air through it onto the GPU.

But yeah i figure im going to have start cutting on a PCI slot cover because no one makes any. I'll have to get out the drill or the dremel and start getting artistic, lol. I was almost ready to buy one of those PCI slot fans and take the PCI slot bracket off and just use that but it would be like throughing 15 bux away.

Try mounting one of these on your side panel window....

http://www.mnpctech.com/VGAVent.html

Put right in front of your video card and fresh air will get sucked in over the card. Or you could place an actual fan on the side panel blowing directly onto the video card, but that depends on how much noise you want.

well i did some cutting and made my own grill but i scratched it up a little and im thinking of painting it black like my case.

Thumper: its a nice idea, but i really don't want to cut on a 150 dollar case I've only had for 2 months.
