As the title above, does AX760 "i" version use Japanese Capacitors? I want to upgrade my PSU soon, but still confused the difference between AX760 and AX760 "i" version....except DSP.

AX760 and AX760i are different designs, by different manufacturers too. It's not just a difference of the DSP functionality.

A look through a few reviews of the AX760i shows different capacitors used on different models. They should be pretty much the same-spec, similar quality parts, though. All the standard (liquid) electrolytic capacitors were 105C-rated Panasonic, Chemi-Con, and Rubicon, good series. The power supply uses a lot of polymer capacitors, which use solid electrolyte and are more expensive and better (lower ESR, should have better longevity, etc.) than the standard types. TechPowerUp found CapXon polymers in the secondary, which are not Japanese. I really really wouldn't freak out about that though, all things considering. Corsair's usually not stupid (and they do enough internal testing on these things) and they put a 7 year warranty on the unit for a reason, Flextronics is pretty experienced and knows what's up, etc.

AX760 is by Seasonic and uses Chemi-Con electrolytics. Actually, there are also quite a few polymers used here, this time from Enesol (Korean I think, for whatever that means).

Both power supplies are superb and would be plenty if you add a second GTX 670. They both turn the fan off at lower loads, thought the normal AX760 has the better and smoother fan.

But I heard that the AX760 uses Japanese Capacitors instead of Korean...The reason I ask this is because I want to keep my new PSU for at least 3 - 4 years...so I want to ensure that I get a best of the best for my money.

If value for money is what you're looking for, you need not look at Corsair AX units.

Nope, my question is only at AX760 and the i version....not interest on all models, though except those two.

Your question bares no relevance really. Independent of what caps they use, they will easily last their warranty period (presuming that no defect is present, with the caps or other components).
AXi units have been spotted with both NCC and Taicon electrolytics on the modular connector board, this will have no impact on performance or longevity.

and here i thought that proof and testing reliability was a good determining factor for quality.

also sarcasm aside, you cant say you want the best for your money and then turn around and shoot down other suggestions.
I understand you want this model, but on one hand you have someone telling you that it would not matter cause the brand is reliable and on the other hand you have someone who is willing to help you find (in your words) the "best for your money"

trust the brand name that makes your product, not the country they buy from.

Let me clarify

The reason I say that I only want those 2 model, is because on my country (Indonesia), Corsair have a very good quality customer support, I'm not familiar with the other model even it's seasonic, because I don't know exactly how their customer support are (not saying that they are bad or whatever)...or I don't know if in USA, etc...other brand have a very good customer support, Again I don't know....+ those 2 model are in my budget (since I don't need to 'buy' again, I just need to give some more cash and my old PSU, to get a new one)

Customer support is my first priority, because If there's something wrong with my product (whatever it is), I don't need to spend much time to get a new one...

So my reason :

1. Are in my budget

2. Have a very good customer support

And the reason I want the best for my money is because, I want to keep the PSU for at least 3 - 4 years, so I don't need to worry about PSU, OR if there's something wrong with my PSU, I can simply RMA it and get a new one...I am not the people who can upgrade every component every year OR every month...

Maybe the meaning of "best for money" between me and all of you is different, I don't know

Most people on this forum will tell you buying the "i" model is overkill, don't take offense to it, a lot of people on this forum blindly think they need the best corsair psu for there system when it isn't the case so most of the power supply regulars recommend over reputable products. I'm sure seasonic has a good warranty where you are too, seasonic basically designs all of corsairs older power supplies before corsair made the "i" models I believe.

ahh...that's a lot more than I could find. You know you could get the SuperFlower Golden King 1K for the same price as the AX760i...

Since you provided only two choices, I went with the one that has the software gimmick which some people find it an added value.

ok, i see what you mean here, the only thing is that you threw alot of people off (i think, at least i know i was) by stating you only want one with japanese capacitors.

as far as i know, china is the only country you need to stay away from, and that is reflected on cheap brands.(not corsair)

That being said, my vote goes to the ax760 if you dont plan on upgrading your build
And to be honest im not really sure what the difference to the (i) model is.
