Does Radeon HD 2000 series need a crossfire edition and regular card for crossfire?

Or can they go crossfire with 2 normal cards? I ask because i can't find any HD2000 crossfire editions.

It's just like how SLI works now, via the CrossFire bridges, only difference is that SLI needs 1 and CF needs 2.

Big improvement finding crossfire edition cards is a hassle.
