Hi there!

I'm seriously thinking of buying a faster CPU for my MB. First I thought of the FX-8370 but then I discovered the Centurion CPUs. Does the FX-9370 or the FX-9590 work on the GA-990FXA-UD5 rev 3?

Cooling: CoolerMaster Nepton 240M
VRM: Jepp, I will install an additional fan to cool the VRM heatsink...

I'd recommend the 8370 over the 9xxx series.
The 9590 comes stock at 4.7GHz and turbos to 5.0 but has a TDP of 220w and CPU VID usually around 1.5 - 1.525v.
You'll need/want a lot more cooling to OC a 9xxx. Top twp boards would be a CHV-Z or Saborkitty.
Giga has too many Bios/VRM issues for my liking.

The 8370 can be OC'd to 4.7 to 4.9GHz (in most cases) and costs less.
May also stand a better chance of getting by on your current cooling solution with a 8370.

I kind of wish I would have gone with a different motherboard or a different chip. FX-9590 with GA UD7 seems to have some stability issues. Maybe it is the graphics cards but it is a royal pain in the arse.
