Hello,

I have an urgent question regarding the ASUS M4A77 mainboard. Does it support the A-DATA memory module AD2800G001GOU? On the ASUS page it only lists the memory AD2800E001GOU.

Also, for gaming performance, does a worse Northbridge or Southbridge make a difference when it comes to gaming? I have to replace my Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H and it feels a bit like a downgrade from 780G/SB700 to 770/SB710

Thanks a lot in advance.

The specs for the motherboard and RAM support list should be online and that doesnt seem like a real downgrade to me, You shouldn't notice a huge decrease in performance in gaming. But a better northbridge should make gaming better because it controls the FSB and connection of the CPU, RAM, and GPUs together.

I checked the support list and like I said it only lists RAMs with the number AD2800E001GOU whereas I'm using RAMs with the number AD2800G001GOU. Mine, according to the product info should run at 5-5-5-12, whereas the one listed runs at 4-4-4-12.
