Hi guys, so i have an oppurtunity to get a Phenom Quad 9500+ (2.2GHz) for £30 with 3 games. Would i see much of a diffrence performance wise? My board does accept AM2+ but my overclock is nearly 3GHZ now, and this is onl 2.2. Could i overclock it and get better results than i do now?

in gaming, there won't be much of a difference. your 4400x2 at 3ghz is probably faster than a 9500 at 2.2ghz, and the 9500 won't oc worth a crap on an am2 board, not that it would do much better with am2+. You'd be lucky to get 2.6ghz, more likely somethign like 2.4, so it won't really be an upgrade if all you're concerned with is gaming performance.

If you mean that you're getting a Quad Core CPU + 3 Games for only 30 euros, then what are you thinking about? It's a great deal and total worth it. If you don't even like the 9500 when you get it, you can sell it.
It's a good performance gain from your current CPU, if you can run it.

For £30 and 3 games, that's an absolute steal for a quad-core. Might as well get it anyway because quad-cores are the new future. And overclocking depends on your heatsink, your motherboard, and your RAM. As cky said, you probably can get about 2.6GHz at most, but still, this is a steal for 30 euros.

get it! that's a hell of a bargain!

you may lose a few fps in some games, but you'll experience a much smoother gameplay than duals. also, you can oc that upto to 2.5ghz. besides, your overall system won't have any trouble with low cpu speeds since you're with 14x9 reso. so stock cpu speed will be fine, just disable cnq for you not to experience any slowdown
