Apparanly google code found the source code for MS DOS 6.0 <img src="/images/smilies/eek.gif" border="0" alt="" title="EEK!" class="inlineimg" /> <br />

I wonder what the XP source code looks like. I've heard that no single human can comprehend it all.<br />

EDIT: It's my understanding that it's broken down into hundreds of parts (objects) with interface specifications that allow another developer to develop the next object in the OS model. One person could understand the entire OS model...but no one can unserstand exactly how all the objects work and interface to each other.<br />
<br />
There must be a massive object model/interface document out there for XP. Top secret stuff.

I read an article about the "code gurus" at M$ and the problems of them retiring. due to the extremel complexity and - naturally - bad documentation there are only a couple of people who can really work with the OS as a whole - or at least in big parts. it was an interesting read - i'll try to find it
