I want to buy Dragon Age: Origins and it is $10 cheaper on D2D. Is there any way to buy it on D2D and then just use it through steam? I have never bought a game through D2D so I don't know how it works. How is the game stored on my computer? Meaning... if I needed to reinstall, would I be able to do it from my desktop or only through D2D?

Ouch, you missed the deal steam had going for it (25% off) which is when I bought it.
Honestly, I've never used D2D but I assume it's pretty much Steam minus everything but the downloads. You can add any program to be launchable through steam, and use the interface. Just need to click "Add non steam game" and select the .exe for the program you want to use in steam. It should show up to your friends as "in non steam game : <name here>"
Keep in mind if you do it that way steam won't automatically update it or anything, it's essentially just a shortcut in a different location.

Last time i used D2D was about a year ago so it might have changed, but basically you get to download the game for 6 months i think and after that if you lose it for whatever reason you have to buy it again.
I think you have the option to pay more if you want to get a bigger window then 6 months, would have to check.
You missed a 25% off sale steam had yesterday for dragon age
