Dragon age is over for me now, I still have many origins to do, but for now I've gotten my moneys worth. Does anyone have some recommendations for decent games somewhat similar to it that I can check out? The only game thats been recently released is The Witcher, and I've worn that game out time and time again lol. One reason I started being a PC gamer was because of little known games that were awesome gems to me, so I'm not above trying out games no ones heard of. Thanks in advance!
Very similar, although it is based on the D&D 3.5 rules, so it is slightly different in concerns with Character creation, etc. You obtain companions of various race/class to help you out (max party of 4) and the storyline is very long, not to mention the 2 expansion packs that are already out.
Then you can roll right into Mass Effect 2 when it comes out in January
KAPOW!
Same type of 4 person party, single player, awesome story line, youll pretty much win at life to say the least
EDIT: yea i cant read, definately Kinghts of the Old Republic, NeverWinter Nights, Icewind Dale, Baulders Gate pretty mainstream, System Shock if you can get it to work on your comp, DuesEX is mind blowing
Well if you don't mind the slightly dated gfx(source engine) Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines is a must play(IMO), another good RPG is NWN2 MoTB(the OC is ok too I guess) there's a sizable modding community as well which can add a lot to re-playability.
Of course if you really want to go back in time there are countless other great games... Baldur's Gate series, Planescape: Torment, Deus Ex, FO series, gothic 1+2(skip 3), System shock 2, ect ect.
As for more current games? Mass effect, Bioshock and Risen too(similar to gothic; and yes I know bioshock isn't really a RPG but I like it anyway!).

This. I just got this when it was on special (steam), and I must say that is the best $9 I have spent on a game. The story line is really cool, music is good although somewhat sporadic, good graphics, and did I mention the story line is really cool?
And the dialog options reminds me of those "Choose your own adventure" books.

Divine Divinity was one of the best RPGs i've ever played.
I see 01/05/10 in wikipedia for US release. I'm astonished, first time I see a game release first in Europe then in the US, and with such a big time difference, I thought it was a given it was there when I got my copy lol.
