Drivers newer than 310.90 AND just setting fan to 85% crashes my GTX 680

pretty much only the stock clocked GTX 680 and that driver is stable.

EVEN only setting the fan speed to 85% with no OCing crashes Crysis 3 with NODRIVER error... What is going on?
