DS3 & OCZ 2GK 800MHz

First off, will OCZ RAM even be good for a C2D build? Then, does anyone know if it will work w/ a DS3? If no to either of these questions, what RAM that runs at least 800MHz for $250 max. is better?

EDIT:
Here's the RAM:

I assume that it is 2.1v?
After putting it in, go to the BIOS and manually increase the voltage to 2.1
Avoid both Corsair and OCZ when it comes to DDR2

SUPER TALENT 2GB $275

A little bit over your budget but it's worth it
So besides Super Talent, what companies should I go for and watch out for? Also, do the memory compatibility lists (there are no DDR2-800 2GB kits for the DS3 certified by Gigabyte) really matter?
The DS3 dislikes ram with D9 memory chips. If you're getting an E6600, then I'd buy a DS3 and pauldovi's Patriot ram in the "for sale" section. That gets you 2 gb of DDR2-800 ram for $200.00 shipped.

I believe it got to DDR2-900 which is 4ghz on the E6600. I doubt you'll be at that speed for 24/7 use.
It's not so much that you should watch for brands but the IC's they're currently using

There are these...

BUFFALO Firestix 2GB $245

but they're out of stock

Memory compatibility lists put together by Gigabyte don't really matter

The F8i BIOS pretty much fixed the D9 problem, there are a bunch of threads over at XS about it

Crucial seems realtively popular among DS3 users. How do I find out about the ICs in the modules?

From what I've seen, most of those people have the C2 revisions of the DS3.

Here's the link of the Patriot ram on this site:

Are there any tests with an actual E6300? I know the multiplier is pumped down to E6300 standards on those CPUs, but everytime I see an E6300, there is always a problem.

I also don't see any proof that they are using D9 ram in those pictures and we can never find out if they are.

I think this a neutral kind of thing, I'll leave it at that.
Yeah I'm going for higher-clocked stuff at stock, simply because I'd like to reach a nice clock speed. I think my other choice, the GeiL PC5400 stuff wouldn't have allowed me to reach 3GHz - but the HyperX ram at a stock FSB of 450 gives me 3.15GHz

but yeah I have heard about the problems with D9s and DS3, which is why I'm not going for the stuff. And the fact that it costs a lot!

Out of the 29 pages I looked through, only 2 people included the mainboard tab in their screenshot x.x

510mhz and 514mhz at CL4 isn't proof? I don't think there is any other IC that can do that at CL4

i have the DS3, 965G not P though, with OCZ DDR2 800 platinum. but only 1gb. ive been getting BSOD like crazy and i feel that MAYBE its the RAM. the weird thing is that the RAM passes memtest86. im gonna let memtest run overnight and see what happens. any of you guys getting BSOD with this combo? let you guys know tomorrow.
